Peer Support Specialist
Peer Support Specialist: The Right Door is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to work 20 hours per week. This individual must be 18 years or older and is in recovery from their diagnosed Mental Illness. The Peer Support Specialist will develop an enhanced system of support for persons with severe and persistent mental illness. This individual will promote recovery, hope, personal responsibility, empowerment, education, community inclusion and participation. Person must meet criteria to secure Certification, including, but not limited to the following: have a serious mental illness; have received public mental health services currently or in the past; and meet the MDHHS application approval process for specialized training and certification requirements.
