The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness is excited to announce a new partnership with myStrength, Inc. for 2016.

myStrength is an online "Health Club for your mind." myStrength supports the whole person, mind, body and spirit, with customized resources and programs based on the user's personal profile and wellness assessment results. myStrength is designed to connect those in our community with self-help tools and resources for wellness. Each user will get a personalized experience that is private and available 24/7. The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness envisions that myStrength will be a community resource that can assist in improving mental health and well-being.

The myStrength online program includes: eLearning to help overcome depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, simple tools and exercises, a mood tracker and daily inspirational quotes and videos in a safe and confidential environment. myStrength uses proven, evidence-based materials grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, positive psychology and other empirically validated therapeutic approaches.

The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness does not intend to have myStrength replace the important care that we provide. Rather we hope for myStrength to be a conversation starter, a tool for assisting our community to have healthy minds and another way to decrease stigma surrounding caring for our mental health. In the case the someone using our myStrength site is experiencing a mental health, or substance use crisis or would just like general information about our services, they will see our phone number listed right on the myStrength website or phone application.

myStrength is free and available via web and mobile app. As a community member, you will need to access myStrength using an access code. If you are a current client of ours, you can inquire about a code from anyone you work with at The Right Door.

If you don't currently receive care from us, and are interested, you will be able to sign up through our website or by receiving a code from on our many staff and board members who will be promoting this all throughout the community. We hope that this tool is a way for us to partner with schools, churches, law enforcement and so many more. If you are interested in having us provide an onsite demonstration, please call us at 616-527-1790 and ask for customer services.

myStrength will be at The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness training all of our employees and board members the first week of February. There is an opportunity for community leaders who would like to help promote this exciting wellness tool on Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at our Ionia location, 375 Apple Tree Drive, Ionia, 48846.

If you would like to attend or desire additional information about this training, please call 616-527-1790 and ask for Susan Richards, QI Director. To learn more about myStrength, visit www.mystrength.com.
