Save the date: Suicide intervention training offered by CMH Nov. 6-7

IONIA COUNTY, Mich.

Ionia County Community Mental Health will hold its next ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) workshop Nov 6-7 at the Ionia County CMH building on Apple Tree Drive in Ionia.

This training on suicide intervention — for all community members, professional and lay — is a worldwide program to help persons who are at risk of suicide. Many individuals in the military, health care, courts, schools, law enforcement, government and clergy are now trained in the ASIST model.

The cost of the two-day training is $85 per person, but the fee will be waived for Ionia County participants who attend both full days. Social worker, nursing and MCBAP CEUs are pending.
