Recovery Garden

Recovery Garden

June 13, 2013

Gardening is a great source of exercise. It also promotes a healthy diet. It is known to reduce stress and some studies have suggested that it improves people's overall mental health.

With our focus being on holistic wellness, we have established a community garden for the people we serve. They are planting, growing and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables. This allows them to be actively involved in their own health and wellness.

The harvest of the vegetables will be shared with those that help with the garden and we hope to have a harvest festival as well. Those who are interested in participating, please call the main office at 616-527-1790.
